Upset? Ask.

Are you upset about something? Something got your chain? Riled up about something someone has said or done? 

 You could let fly and label them. You could blow up and react. You could humiliate the other and move them to a defensive position. 

You could also ask a question to validate if your anger is justified.  You could default to curiosity and explore your upsetness with the other person. You could support the other towards openness.

The last scenario ensures the other person is ready and primed to learn something new if you do find out your anger is justified. 

If it's not justified then maybe you'll learn something new about another perspective and grow and change and we will all thrive.
