It turns out some people believe you should not do anything that offends another person.
What if what someone else deems offensive is the very thing you feel allows for your self identification?
Where does one 'thing' transcend self identification and become offensive?
I think offense is created when I define YOU before you are able to identify yourself.
I think it is when I label you. I choose to define you to the world that surrounds. My choice not yours.
If I say something you are offended by, ask a question. Find out more.
Offense can only be caused when you adopt (or partially adopt) the definitions provided by others.
I will continue to choose curiosity over fixed positions. I will continue to explore and remain unconvinced. I will hover when things get heated and dwell in the unknown.
