A must ask question at your next job interview: 

"What happens around here when things don't go as planned"?

Then ask for a real world example. 

This question will give you insight into whether people react or respond. It will give you insight into how mistakes, misfires or performance challenges are handled. 

It will also give you an inkling there business planning that guides the team towards success.

It will give you a view into how people work together or work in silos to solve problems. You might also hear how leadership responds, who they consult, how they consult and how they move the team toward action.

You might also catch a glimpse of how you might contribute in the future when things don't go as planned once your hired :)
